Happy Days in Guaymas
Here we are! Brenda (from Guaymas), myself, and Bliss (from San Carlos)...Brenda and Bliss have a conversational Spanish class with our landlord, Lolita, and today they stopped by for iced tea and cookies before class. FINALLY, I got to visit with the 2 women that helped bring our Guaymas dream to fruition. Thanks Brenda and Bliss!
Nope, they were like little polvorones, obviously made with powdered sugar, yummy and I had a hard time keeping my hands off 'em. Until I saw our photo!
Hey, Cyn I forgot to tell you there's a Red Hat Society in San Carlos. I'll get meeting times for you.
Beany Dias Guaymas Girls! I hope you're still there when I get back to SC next year. What fun! Wish I was there instead of stuck behind my desk teaching English in Japan! Wanna swap?
Nice to see you. I will be visiting for a month next February. Brenda visits my blog sometimes and I am looking forward to visiting San Carlos. We are thinking of wintering or moving into the area. Not sure where as yet. Our Canadian winters are difficult up here.
Jim Morrison said, “There are things known and things unknown, and in between are the doors."
We like to open doors. No guts, no glory. Nothing worth having comes easily. A penny saved is a penny earned.
From May 2008 to May 2010 we drove from Seattle to Mexico City, to Guaymas, Mexico, to Salem, Oregon and now back home to Seattle. There are many unknowns and we’re searching for the answers.

Wow, blogger meetup! I am so glad you have such a great network around you... I wish I had been there - I bet you made peanut butter cookies, too!

Enjoyed the visit,we'll have to do it again soon.
Loved meeting Sitka also.
Glad you're settling in.
Red Hats in San Carlos?? Why not Guaymas?
And no, I didn't bake the cookies...I haven't bothered to figure out the oven yet - it's toooooo HOT!
Maybe I could sell that jar of Adams peanut butter on eBay/Mexico? HA HA
